Sundays can feel like very boring days for many families. Some people go to church, but what is there to do afterwards? I'm here to cure your sense of boredom and get rid of those awkward Sundays. One of the most popular and fun things to do on a Sunday is take a family day over to the beach or nearest water feature possible.
The sand makes for numerous possibilities for fun activities - you can build sand castles with your kids, build a mote, make art sculptures of animals that you might find in the sea water, or have your kids come up with their own ideas to do. If you do not live close enough to visit the beach, try taking your kids to a local park.
They will have fun swinging on the swings or sliding down the slides, and just running around in general. Not to mention, it is a great place for them to make friends, as long as the parents are around to make sure that safety is not an issue. A good way to teach your children to give back to society is to help them do some community service around your neighborhood.
This does not have to be boring, in fact, make it a game! Take your kids on a walk around the block or the entire neighborhood with gloves on their hands and carrying a plastic bag. Tell them that whoever collects the most trash that day gets some sort of reward at home later on, perhaps a later bed time or a cookie after dinner.
